The 2010 tournament was a little different than previous tournaments. We tried a format that consisted of both an individual format and doubles format, similar to the National Collegiate Disc Golf Championships. We were excited to welcome several new teams to the tournament. San Diego State University, University of Pacific, California Baptist University were just a few. After the final round it came down to a competition between the Ducks of Oregon and the Aztecs of San Diego. After an intense final 9, Oregon ended up walking away with the Stancil Johnson Cup and handing CSUMB their first defeat.

We welcome students attending any two- or four-year intuition of higher education (e.g. community colleges, universities). If you or your college wants to play this year, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
The 2009 tournament was a collection of otters, ducks, lancers and slugs. We welcomed players from the University of Oregon, Pasadena City College, and UC Santa Cruz to the campus. After combinations of match and stroke play to determine the final round, CSUMB defended the Stancil Johnson Cup against Oregon in a 9-2 in match play

The 2008 tournament was a team match play, similar to 2007, and we again saw the Banana Slugs of UC Santa Cruz come down . CSUMB retained the cup again 15 1/2 to 6 1/2, and we agreed to bi-weekly tournaments between the two schools.
The 2007 tournament was a team match play, with singles on the Cypress course and doubles on the Oaks course. That year brought down the Banana Slugs of UC Santa Cruz for their second attempt at the Stancil Johnson Cup. CSUMB retained the Cup for the second year in a row with a match play win over UCSC, 12 1/2 to 7 1/2.
