The first four concrete tee pads have appeared on Cypress on the Stancil Courses at Cal State Monterey Bay.

A projected 27 will be available in time for the August tournament, when the 2011 Pro Disc Golf World Championships begins on the Monterey Bay. Cypress and Oaks will be combined as one course and used as one of the four championship courses during the tournament.

Lead by CSUMB Disc Golf team coach and Kinesiology instructor, Merle Wivoet, the club had financial assistance to build these initial tee pads from 2011 Pro Worlds staff Marty Hapner and Tom Schot, the executive director of the 2011 Pro Worlds tournament.

Concrete pouring and expertise was also provided by Vince Malysa.

Many thanks to Campus Planning & Development and University Police Department for their help.
